You might struggle with feeling like you’re not enough — disconnected from yourself or others, or weighed down by expectations. Maybe you feel consumed by how others perceive you, feeling unseen in your relationships or exhausted from holding everything together. Sometimes, the world can feel like too much – overwhelming, isolating, or unmanageable.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating self-worth challenges, perfectionism, relational struggles, identity exploration, and the lingering effects of complex and intergenerational trauma. I help clients who feel stuck or disconnected develop a deeper understanding of themselves so they can move through life with greater clarity, self-trust, and meaning.

My approach is relational, trauma-focused, insight-driven, and integrative. I draw from psychodynamic, existential, and somatic modalities while incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work) to help clients recognize and heal the inner dynamics that shape experience. With a trauma-informed lens, I support clients in regulating emotional overwhelm, shifting self-doubt, and creating space for self-compassion and change.

I am LGBTQ+, poly, and kink-affirming and practice with cultural responsiveness, recognizing how identity, family history, culture, and systemic narratives influence personal experience. I also work with couples seeking to strengthen their connection, deepen communication, and navigate transitions — such as premarital planning, shifting evolving relationship structures, or major life changes.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, graduating summa cum laude. I completed my traineeship at Maple Counseling, a respected psychodynamic institute. I’m also an adjunct professor at Pepperdine and a trauma researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In the space we create together, you’ll find the clarity to reconnect with yourself, the courage to explore new possibilities, and the freedom to realign with what truly matters. If/when you’re ready to begin, I’m here to walk alongside you. ~SARAH
