As someone who spent a lot of time in a therapist’s office during my formative years, I have experienced many modalities of psychotherapy. I am grateful for the growth I’ve made and continue to pursue both personally and professionally.

I started working in Los Angeles after receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York in 2014. Hoping to find more meaning and purpose in my life, I reevaluated my direction and decided to go back to school. In 2023, I earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, where I studied LGBT-Affirmative Psychology. I completed my clinical traineeship at COLORS LGBTQ Youth Counseling Services where I utilized a trauma-sensitive, queer-affirmative treatment model. I am continuing my associateship at Maple Counseling, one of Southern California’s most respected psychodynamic training institutes. At Maple, I treat individuals of all ages with varying support needs.

I believe true growth begins on a holistic level and my therapeutic approach is trauma-focused and integrative. I incorporate different psychological theories while providing clients with somatic, tool-based interventions. I work to empower clients with the knowledge and understanding that all individuals have an inherent capacity to heal. The real therapeutic work is developing the strength, courage, and vulnerability to not let the past define the present, to be willing to approach life from a different perspective, and to hold oneself accountable. I am incredibly passionate about the work I do and my hope is as my clients and I work together, they begin to live a life that feels more authentic, aligned, and true to the person they are becoming. ~ BRIAN
